Noah’s Ark WA is a service for children with disability and additional needs, provides resources and information to help families and agencies promote children’s development through play. The Library offers a wide range of toys, games and play equipment to assist children with their fine and gross motor skills, language, cognitive and social development.

The ‘Prime Time’ program is one such resource that was developed for children who required additional sensory support.  After much success, Noah’s Ark hope to transition Prime Time to an independent concern in 2018.

WA Charity Direct has provided funding support for this 6-month transition to allow the families with continued access to an Occupational Therapist.

A small Family who relocated to Perth from Regional WA to be closer to specialised medical appointments were living without a refrigerator due to financial hardship.  A fridge is a big cost item, which was difficult for this family to afford on a tight pension budget.  WA Charity Direct purchased a suitable  450L refrigerator for the family, which now allows food security and economies of scale with bulk food purchasing.

Read message of thanks:

My Van

Words can not express how much I would like to thank WA Charity Direct for helping me get my van.

The feeling that I am the proud owner of my first car ever is overwhelming, I still open my front door at home to make sure my car is still there!

I am now not having to wait for a taxi in the cold or in the heat, it’s absolutely wonderful feeling to be independent and not have to go through booking a taxi, making sure I have the money, waiting for the taxi to arrive etc.

All I do now is jump in the car with my carer and off we go for an Adventure! I want to thank again WA Charity Direct for helping me achieve my dream and owning my first car! Thank you from the bottom of my heart
